I envy my tutee a lot. I envy her because at such a young age, she has been very active with various kinds of mosque activities. She has been learning life lessons and she has been sharing inspiring/motivating stories about getting ourselves closer to Allah with me. The story was shared by her camp facilitator during the Ramadhan Youth Challenge Camp ( i soooo wanted to go this camp:( ). The story is as follows:
Her camp facilitator was reading a book about a boy who dreamt about crossing the Siratul Mustaqim or Jambatan Sirat. Suddenly, he found himself falling. Falling towards the hell under. He was falling and falling but out of the blue, a hand reached for him to save him.
Who do you think it is?
His mum? Nope.
His dad? Nope.
Malaikat? Nope.
It was his Solat.
The boy asked "Why were you late to save me?"
His Solat answered, "Because you were late conducting me (prayers)"
Let's start/continue praying on time, insyaAllah. A reminder to myself first and foremost:)
Assalamualaikum
You are never alone. Allah is always with you
p.s. alhamdulillah i managed to type this short post without waking my mum up. k now i need to sneakily wash myself up and get to bed before my mum, the queen of light sleepers, wake up and start scolding me for sleeping late!
